Mr Gao Zicheng

 

Gao Zicheng, male, born in February 1962. He obtains a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Master’s degree in Economics, and a Doctorate in Management..

He currently serves as Vice President of the China Law Society and President of the All China Lawyers Association. He also holds the positions of Vice Chairman of the Commercial Law and Customs Committee of the China Chamber of International Commerce; Vice President of the China Academy of Arbitration Law (CAAL); Arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC); Arbitrator of the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC); Vice Chairman of the China Legal Aid and Judicial Administrative Martyrs Care and Relief Foundation; Visiting Professor at the Central University of Finance and Economics; Distinguished Professor at East China University of Political Science and Law; Postgraduate Supervisor at Renmin University of China, and Vice President of the Beijing Law Society.

He is a Deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress and a Member of its Constitution and Law Committee. Additionally, he serves as a Deputy to the 16th Beijing Municipal People’s Congress and a Member of its Supervision and Justice Committee.

He is a practicing lawyer at Beijing Dada Law Firm. His long-term practice covers legal services including major, complicated and difficult civil and commercial litigation, international commercial arbitration, criminal defense, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, financial legal affairs, and perennial legal counsel. He has handled more than 3,000 cases involving civil, commercial, criminal and administrative disputes and legal advisory matters. He has acted as litigation representative or perennial legal counsel for entities such as Germany’s Wirtgen Group, Mercedes-Benz of Germany, Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation, South Korea’s Hyosung Corporation, Indonesian warehousing companies, Hong Kong Henderson Land, Singapore Xinlong Investment, Great China Real Estate, China Everbright Bank, SAIC Motor, Capital Airport Holdings. Leading his team with diligence and dedication, he has achieved remarkable achievements in legal representation, earning widespread acclaim from the legal profession and society. As an arbitrator of the CMAC and Vice President of the CAAL, he has contributed to numerous research initiatives on foreign-related legal affairs. Serving as a Chief Arbitrator of the CIETAC, he has presided over and adjudicated several major, complicated and contentious economic disputes. His legal representation, arbitration quality, and credibility have garnered significant trust from all parties involved, along with broad social recognition and public commendation.

He has been honored with numerous titles, including “National Outstanding Lawyer”, “National Exemplary Pioneer in Professional Excellence”, “Beijing Outstanding Lawyer”, and “Beijing Outstanding Criminal Defense Lawyer”.
