About the Constitution

The LAWASIA Constitution is the association’s governing document. Above all, it sets out the enduring aims and objects of LAWASIA. In addition, it governs and defines the various types of membership and structures where practices and procedures in any one jurisdiction may not suit universal application in a multi-jurisdictional environment. Based on the premise that LAWASIA is, at a peak level, an association of member organisations, the form and any amendments to the constitution require a majority agreement of the LAWASIA Council, comprised of Councillors formally appointed to the role by member organisations.
