General All program information is subject to change without notice. The website will be updated with information as it is settled. Important Information A detailed information sheet which includes information on airport transfers and other useful advice is available to download from the LAWASIA important information tab. Visas Please note visa application is the sole responsibility of the participant. Should a letter of invitation be required, this should be advised to secretariat by email lawasia@lawasia.asn.au. The secretariat will arrange for letters to be issued by Vietnamese hosts (Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association). Letters to assist visa applications will not be issued until full registration and payment is received and processed by the LAWASIA secretariat. Insurance Participants, accompanying persons and guests are advised to effect their own insurance to cover all risks including (but not limited to) cost to travel, accommodation, conference registration, injury/death, health and medical expenses, personal property and all other risks. The conference, host organisation and organisers will not be held liable for claims under any circumstances. This includes participation in pre & post touring activities undertaken by accompanying persons. Cancellation All cancellations must be notified to the LAWASIA Secretariat in writing by email, fax or mail. Where notice is received before 15th September a full refund will be issued less US$100 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after this time, however a replacement delegate may be nominated without charge up to 20th October. After 20th October a fee of US$40 will apply for any transfer of registration to another delegate. Refund of accommodation and tour deposits and/or prepayment is at the discretion of the hotel/operating company. Force Majeure Neither LAWASIA, Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association, LAWASIA's 22nd Conference Organising Committee or LAWASIA 22nd Conference Secretariat shall be liable for delay or failure to organise the conference if such delay is due to fire, typhoon, cyclone, earthquake, flood, strike, labour dispute, war, government order, riot, revolution, pandemic or any other cause beyond reasonable control.
International delegate entitlements Registration fee includes all conference materials, attendance at session, lunch and morning/afternoon teas according to the program, ticket to the welcome reception, ticket to the conference dinner. Social functions tickets: Additional tickets to the social functions (welcome reception and farewell conference dinner) may be purchased for accompanying persons. Please see registration form. Please note: The conference dinner will not include beverages. Delegates will be able to purchase these separately. All other costs including but not limited to accommodation, airfares, visa fees, transportation and meals shall be borne by the participant (including speakers). The conference, host organisation and organisers will not be held liable for any costs under any circumstances.
